(with sculpture in the background by Miri Chekhanovick)

How much can a ring hold?
On its surface, in the depth of the material
in the lines of my fingerprint inscribed in its shape,
in the metal now touched and carried by these hands and bodies.

Sculpted on and between my fingers,
now worn by people who’ve passed through or stayed in my life

Maybe they act as reminders of our connection.
Maybe they are containers of our love.
